Contest Description

Founded in 2012, the Charm Of Oriental·China International Underwear Creative Design Contest is an industrial contest hosted by Shenzhen Underwear Industry Association, Committee of Shenzhen Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Shenzhen Guangming District Peoples Government, China Knitting Industry Association, and Guangdong Textile Association and Hongkong Intimate Apparel Industries’ Association. The Contest has become one of the largest professional contests with the most extensive coverage, the largest entries and the greatest social influence in Chinese underwear industry. It holds important impact in China and abroad. Since 2014, the contest has been listed as one of  the Eight Key Supported Industrial Design Contests by Shenzhen Municipal Government.

 

Contest Mission

The contest provides a professional stage to those who are dedicated in lingerie design, and strives to introduce the best lingerie design talents to China even to the world. By pushing forward the creative design, the contest aims to drive the transformation and upgrading of the entire lingerie industry.

 

  

Entry conditions

Domestic and foreign professional designers, teachers and students of fashion professional colleges and universities, and freelancers who have passion on design are welcomed - irrespective of age.

 

 

ThemeAlive

 

Theme description:

Live in the present and enjoy in time. In the various and complex times, we should grasp the present with an optimistic and positive attitude, dare to express, enrich the experience, highlight the individuality, release the true self, and live a wonderful life.

 

Pattern-making instructions

The organization committee will provide selected contestants with technical support of garment pattern-making.

 

Awards

1 First Prize: Reward with RMB50,000

1 Second Prize: Reward with RMB20,000

1 Third Prize: Reward with RMB10,000

3 Excellence Awards:Reward with RMB2,000

1Most Commercial Value Award: Reward with RMB3,000

1 Best Online Popularity Award: Reward with RMB3,000

 

*15 groups of works will be selected into the final round.

* Selected contestants are able to obtain Certificate of Honor and Certificate of Adviser that are issued by the organization committee

* The right of final interpretation reserved by the organizer of the contest.

 

Entry requirements

1. Contestants shall design the entry works in series according to the theme of the requirements, each series contains 5 sets of underwear together with accessories.

2. The entries must be the author’s original design and published for the first time. Those who participated in other contests in China or abroad cannot be submitted to the contest. Entries shall not be submitted more than one draft or plagiarize. If any illegal behavior exists, it will be disqualified (including awarded).

3. Works shall be with rich imagination and creativity, in accordance with the theme of the contest and the international trend. Try to use innovative materials or with creative technique of expression and complete the work through simple ways.  Try to make the overall visual effect as perfect as possible, and be valuable for leading the development of lingerie trend.4. Entry works of each series must be completed in accordance with the following requirements and submitted with the relevant registration procedures:

1) To submit the color effect diagram and the design of the structure of a map (size: 40CM * 27CM), hand drawn or digital print draft are both accepted;

2) To be attached with fabric swatches  (5CM * 5CM)

3) The effect diagram, structure diagram, fabric swatches are indispensable and the name of the author and the related information must not be appeared at the front page. Qualification will be canceled if it doesn’t meet the above requirements

4) Mark the name of the work on the upper left side of the effect chart;

5)Mark on the bottom right corner of the back of the entry: the author’s name, registration number (online registration system automatically generated) (Required), telephone number, organization (content must be consisted with the "entry form"). Please write neatly and clearly, as a result of controversy, the organizing committee will not take any responsibility.

Register online and upload effect pictures and style diagrams in electronic edition

2) Mail your design works to the organizer (please mark the designer's information at the back of works under the request of contest)

 

 

 

Notes

1. For the manuscripts and the finished goods sent from the author’s location, participants are responsible for the safety and insurance of delivery process.

2. The transportation and accommodation cost to participate in the finals will be partially paid by the organizing committee, which will be announced later.

3. The manuscripts and clothing will not be returned, please keep drafts by yourselves. The copyright belongs to the organizing committee. The organizer of the entries (including design and clothing samples) has the published right, including publicity, performances and publishing.

4. If any third party has questions on the relevant issues related to intellectual property rights or others, the responsibilities will be on the authors’ account; the organizing committee will not take any responsibility.
